TRO Is Still Looking For A Home...
The Delta Cafe at 41st & Garnett is working out... somewhat... So, we are still looking for a new meeting location because we need something better.
We are looking for a restaurant (hams do like to eat and socialize) with a meeting room that can accommodate at least 2 dozen people (that's about what our attendance is running lately), and where we are isolated from the noise of other customers (this is a must for conducting business and hearing presentations). We prefer the room to have a large screen TV or monitor that can be connected to a computer for program presenters, or a smooth white wall, or a wall where we can hang a sheet. Also, the basic menu should feature food that most people would enjoy, because not everyone likes every ethnic style.
If you know of a suitable location, please contact our Vice President Paul Young, KE5EHM, at ke5ehm@tulsahamradio.org, or any club officer.
#####
TRO Field Day Plans -- Got Suggestions??
ARRL Field Day is fast approaching. It will be here sooner that you think, 24 -25 JUN 2017. The Executive Committee wants to know what the members want to do, or if anyone has suggestions for FD plans.
First, who would like to participate?
Where should we have our FD operation? Indoors (with AC, of course)? Outdoors? In Tulsa or Tulsa County? Or outside of Tulsa County?
Who is willing and able to bring out HF equipment? What would you bring?
Should we combine with another club?
Last year, we went to the Okmulgee EOC, and those that went had fun despite the low turnout and uncooperative bands. The Okmulgee County hams were good hosts, and our presence was a benefit to them. We can easily get back there, but we need to know what our members think.
Look for a survey on the club's Facebook page, and you can also send your responses, ideas and suggestions to WA5LVT@tulsahamradio.org.

What's On The Program?
In order to make our meetings more fun, interesting, and useful for our members, the Executive Committee has decided to get back to having programs every month. But we need your help. Do you have an idea for a program? If so, let us know!
Are you curious about some aspect of ham radio, and would like to see a program on the topic? Let us know!
You don't have to put on the program, but if you are able and willing to do so, that would be great! Just tell us your idea, and we will work on putting it together.
The programs don't have to be about ham radio. Hams tend to be technical people, so anything technical or scientific will do.
By the way, we used to tour a TV or broadcast radio station, or the Tulsa EOC, or the NWS Office once a year, but we haven't done that in about a decade. Let us know if you would like to go on such a tour, and where.
Send you ideas to TRO Vice President Paul Young at ke5ehm@tulsahamradio.org.
