Tour de Cure

The Tulsa Repeater Organization has been asked to handle the communication needs for the 5th Tour de Cure bicycle ride in Eastern Oklahoma Saturday, May 17, 2008. This event will benefit the American Diabetes Association. The event will begin at Mohawk Park in Tulsa and ride out as far as Claremore Lake. The Ride will be from 8:00AM to 3:00 PM. If you can help with this event please contact Tom - KD5OPH at KD5OPH@tulsahamradio.org. There are 15 assignment positions to cover and the TRO needs to fill these by the end of March. We will need Stationary, Shadow, Sag, and Sweep volunteer operators. We will use a directed net control. It is with great honor that we take on this communication responsibility for the American Diabetes Association. I will need to start filling the positions for this ride as soon as possible, so, if you are available and would like to work this event contact me so I can get you assigned to a position. I can use handhelds and mobile radio operators. ADA has mentioned gas reimbursement for Sags and Sweeps. Your help is needed, so set Saturday May 17th aside and come help us support the riders for the Tour de Cure. More information will be provided as the event gets closer.
